Sharon Allred Senior Director Sharon Allred manages LW Consulting, Inc.'s Atlanta Office and as a Senior Director is a member of the firm's Executive Committee. Ms. Allred is a recognized leader in healthcare and healthcare consulting with over 24 years of healthcare and management experience. Ms. Allred's experience spans numerous areas of healthcare. These areas are identified below. Insurance Industry Ms. Allred was a licensed insurance agent in both South Carolina and Tennessee. She worked for United Healthcare in the early 1980's to develop and roll out ProviderLink, United's electronic claim submission and referral product to the state of South Carolina. Ms. Allred also served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Tennessee developing a 50/50 PHO based HMO called Wellport. The HMO had over 60,000 members in the first six months of sales. Technology Ms. Allred was the National Director of Provider Sales and Implementation for Actamed Corporation in Atlanta. Actamed purchased ProviderLink from United which later became Healtheon and eventually WebMD. Ms. Allred led a national team of over 60 people in inside and outside sales and implementation. The products included electronic claims, referrals, lab transactions, rules and workflow engines for both providers and insurance companies. Ms. Allred was also the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for eMD. eMD was an e-prescribing company that sold nationally to physician offices. Ms. Allred's team also called on pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, pharmacy benefit managers and insurance companies. Consulting For the last 5 years Ms. Allred has been in consulting. Her areas of expertise include: Business and strategic planning Process analysis, documentation, redesign and project management Extensive research and marketplace analysis for healthcare providers and technology vendors Development of marketing plans Filling in as Interim CEO Consulting with physician offices and hospitals on billing and collections, documentation, coding and operational assessments, as well as, RFP development.
